The Labor and Employment practice group at Mickes O’Toole represents management in the full spectrum of labor and employment matters facing employers in today’s increasingly challenging economic environment. Our labor and employment attorneys advocate a proactive approach in in lawsuit avoidance and preventive counseling. We routinely conduct comprehensive audits of our clients’ labor and employment policies and practices to uncover issues before they develop into legal liabilities. We also provide a full range of training and counseling services on emerging labor and employment issues. Our proactive client counseling approach and ongoing training helps employers reduce employment claims and minimize liabilities.

Our clients come from a variety of sectors and include large and small manufacturers, banks, insurance companies, universities, public school districts, service providers, and a number of other businesses.

Specific areas of expertise include merger and acquisitions, entity formation and creation/maintenance of entity records, corporate finance, real estate transactions, trust and estates probate, business succession planning, taxation, nonprofit organizations, employment law, land use/zoning eminent domain and business/employment litigation.

A Long History In Labor Law

Mickes O’Toole also has a long history of representing both public and private employers in labor relations matters. We work proactively with employers to develop comprehensive labor relations strategies. Our attorneys work closely with management to develop union avoidance strategies, respond to union organizing campaigns, manage or assist with collective bargaining negotiations, respond to strikes, picketing, and unfair labor practice charges.
