Thomas Mickes and Natalie Hoernschemeyer obtained a victory from the Missouri Supreme Court this term in one of the few school cases that came before the high court. Tom and Natalie successfully represented Central R-3 School District regarding a legal dispute over the determination of the territorial boundaries of a tract of land located within the Central R-3 School District, even though the land was surround by property that was taxed as part of the Farmington School District. Tom and Natalie were successful in upholding a trial court judgment in favor of their client. The Missouri Supreme Court’s decision that school districts are not statutorily and constitutionally required to be composed of contiguous territory can be found here.
