Amanda A. Walker
Areas of Practice:
Amanda Walker concentrates her practice in the areas of labor & employment law, civil litigation, and education law. She represents clients in state and federal courts and provides general counsel on school operations with an emphasis on personnel matters and school administration. In addition, she assists with matters before the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission.
Amanda previously practiced civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense at a large St. Louis law firm. She has experience representing individuals and businesses, both small and large, in a wide variety of matters, including employment discrimination claims, commercial disputes, personal injuries, and insurance coverage disputes. She has represented clients throughout the litigation process, from the pleading stage to motions for summary judgment. She has also advised clients on compliance with discovery requests and has resolved numerous discovery disputes.
Prior to attending law school, she helped manage a local real estate company’s inventory of foreclosed properties. In law school she externed with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Legal Advocacy for Adults with Mental Illness Program, assisting with housing issues, simple divorces, and federal administrative agency hearings.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and dogs, reading, and rooting for the Cardinals.
