Priya Cumberbatch focuses her practice on employment and education law. With a strong background in litigation, she is able to navigate complex discrimination cases and is committed to helping clients find practical, result-oriented solutions. She represents governmental entities and school districts in matters involving employment  and education related matters and is experienced in both state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies.

Prior to joining Mickes O’Toole, Priya served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Employment Litigation Section of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where she defended state agencies in employment discrimination matters. Before relocating to Missouri, she spent over a decade practicing in Family Court in New York, representing parents and children in child abuse and neglect proceedings. In addition, she worked for the New York City Department of Education investigating complaints involving discrimination and sexual harassment in the public school system.

Priya holds a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Baruch College in New York City. She is admitted to practice in Missouri, New York, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

When not working, Priya enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter.
