Wendy D. Boggiano


Areas of Practice:

Wendy Boggiano practices in the areas of education, labor and employment law, and general civil litigation. She serves as general counsel to numerous public school district clients, advising them daily on a variety of matters, such as: compliance with anti-discrimination laws; personnel improvement plans; student discipline matters; conducting investigations into employee misconduct; employee terminations; family medical leave; compliance with the Missouri Sunshine Law, and compliance with recently enacted or revised statutes affecting public school districts. Wendy is also an experienced litigator. She represents both public and private sector clients in a wide range of civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts, including claims brought under the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Missouri Human Rights Act (MHRA), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), and the Missouri Sunshine Law. A significant portion of Wendy’s practice is spent defending her clients against charges of discrimination filed with the Missouri Commission on Human Rights and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also has experience representing clients in investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.

Wendy is a member of the Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas Bars. She frequently presents on employment and education matters for her clients at various conferences. She also has authored numerous articles on employment and education matters for publications such as the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MoASBO) Journal and the Missouri Association of Rural Education (MARE) Journal.
