The COVID-19 virus and pandemic is impacting all aspect of life across our country. No area has the disruption been felt more than in the K-12 education context. In recent weeks, it has become clear that the crisis will continue to rattle education well into 2021. The COVID-19 crisis is impacting all aspects of K-12 education operations and educators, policymakers, and school attorneys face multiple challenges navigating the current education environment. This program will provide educators and policymakers with the most current information on several education related issues including, but not limited to: re-opening schools, employee testing and vaccination, remote instruction, and SPED services. Drawing on the experience of the last ten months, this panel of education attorneys will discuss their experiences advising public schools during the pandemic and the daunting challenges facing educators in the coming months.
